He was predeceased by: his parents, Teleforo Rodriguez Y Garcia and Isidra Leon Gonzalez; his former wife Velda Gierke (Agapi "Millie" DeLeon); his granddaughter Erica DeLeon; and his great grandchildren, Cecilia Johnson and Korynne McCulloch.
He is survived by: his children, Cecilia Gilson and Leo Roy DeLeon; his grandchildren, Wanda Ophaug, Sheila McCulloch, Adam Starin, Kevin Starin, Marcus DeLeon and Alyssa DeLeon; his great grandchildren, Larry, Abigail, Krystian, Levi, Dakota, Alex, Amara, Aaron and Ariana; his great great grandchildren, Traci-May, Hailley, Khalila and Zahara; and his siblings, Pedro, Julia, Asuncion and Alejandrina. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
