With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elaine Esther Mattson of Grand Ledge, Michigan, born in Engadine, Michigan, who passed away on May 1, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Germain and Bertha Germain (Schroeder); her husband Thomas Mattson; and her son-in-law Brent Duncan. She is survived by: her daughters, Valerie "Kim" Duncan and Cheryl Mattson; her grandchildren, Matthew Duncan, Kaitlin Duncan, Benjamin Porter and Shannah Beckwith (Jason); her great grandchildren, Harper and Lyla Beckwith; her siblings, George Germain (Donna), Eileen Carlson (Rodney), Leonard Germain (Carol), Marlene Johnson (Kenneth), Marvin Germain (Mary) and Kenneth Germain (Mary); and her brothers-in-law, Gerald Mattson (Val) and James Mattson (Lavina). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in loving memory of Elaine Mattson to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
