He was predeceased by: his parents, Forest Dixon and Erma Dixon (Shaw); and his siblings, Betty Davis, Arlene Rodgers, Jannis Lawrence and Gene Dixon.
He is survived by: his brothers, Forest Dixon and Lawrence Dixon; and his children, Rick Dixon (Jeannie), Deborah Goodman (Thomas), Jean Ann Lawrence (Kurt), Bobi Dixon-Ingalls (Peter) and Amy Waldrop (James). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
