He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard W. Byl and Lillian I. Byl (Schroeder); his former wife Sandra Kay Johnson; his son Ronald Byl; his sister Betty Vantol; and his siblings-in-law, William Johnson and Sally Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Stine-Byl; his daughters, Elizabeth Harbeck (John) of Grand Haven, Lisa Wagasky (Scott) of Grand Haven and Michelle Benson (John) of Minneapolis, MN; his grandchildren, D. J. Miller (Kari), Hillary Adams, Griffin, Carley Wagasky, Jack, Will and Lily Benson; his great grandchild Penelope June Miller; and his siblings-in-law, Stanley Johnson and Lu Johnson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Masks and Social Distancing will be required at all services.
