He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Kenneth and Glendora Kieft (Rosema); and his brother Charles Kieft. He is survived by: his wife Lenore Kieft; his sons, Jonathan Kieft and Jeffrey Kieft (Brenda); his grandchildren, Madison Kieft, Trevor Kieft, Tayler Kieft and Lauryn Kieft; and his siblings, Janice Vander Kolk (Peter) and Larry Kieft (Susan). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
