He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard, Sr. Nienhouse and Louise Nienhouse (Voss); his son Richard, Jr.; his great grandchild Stephen Parler; his siblings, Paul Nienhouse (Kaye), Leon Nienhouse (Joan), Robert Nienhouse and Margaret Purcell (Robert); and his siblings-in-law, Brenda Nienhouse and Bill Barth.
He is survived by: his wife Lucille Graham; his children, Mark Nienhouse (Rachel) of Whitehall, Luanne Nienhouse of Spring Lake and Kurt Nienhouse (Mary) of Grand Haven; his grandchildren, Jody Szot (Fred), Matthew Nienhouse (Stephanie), Richard Nienhouse (Stefanie), Sarah Parler (Branson), Russell Nienhouse (Jamie), Benjamin Nienhouse (Amy) and Molly Flack (Andy); his siblings, Anita Barth and Kenneth Nienhouse; and his sister-in-law Pat Nienhouse. He is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren.
