He was predeceased by: his parents, Ludwig Vollmer and Ruth Vollmer (Johnson); his siblings, Lou, George, Idabelle and Irene; and his parents-in-law, Claude and Francis Weber.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Vollmer of Grand Haven; his children, Tami Wade (Peter) of Grand Haven and Tim Vollmer (Amy) of Florida; his grandchildren, Matthew Wade (Kathleen), Sarah Khodl (Chad), Stephanie Bench (Myles), Benjamin Vollmer (Danica), Theodore Vollmer and Emily Vollmer; his siblings, Ruth Smeenge (Paul) of Grand Haven, Elizabeth Walwood (Jim) of Grand Haven and Stuart Vollmer of Spring Lake; and his sisters-in-law, Yvonne Ross of Grand Haven and Dina Vollmer of Grand Haven. He is also survived by seven great-granddaughters.
