He is survived by: his mother Rebecca Simon (Prys) of Grand Haven; his fiancée Lora Serna; his stepdaughter Alicia Phillips; and his siblings, Jenny Shockey (Edward), Theodore and Jack Bruckbauer. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
