He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Boerma and Ella Boerma (Schmidt); his former wife Donna Boerma (Schuiteman); his wife Barbara Boerma (Wallace); his son Michael Boerma; and his brother Marvin Boerma.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Traynor, Bradley Boerma (Romaine) and Roger Boerma (Leslie). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
