It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Van Eenenaam in Grand Haven, Michigan, born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on April 4, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gordon Eenenaam and Isla Van Eenenaam (Pruim); his children, Susan and Orlando Fiallo (Dorado); his grandchildren, Julian and Ana; his children, James and Sblenda of Dana Point, CA; his grandchildren, Olivia (Rob), Sofie, Claire, Elena and Liliana; his children, Julie and Chris Barrett of Kinshasa, DRC; his grandchildren, Isabel and George; his siblings, David (late Elena) and Isla VerMeulen (Victor); his cousin Alyce DePree (Saline); and his close friends, Kristin Gauri and Burkshire Drive.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in his honor to Hope College, Attn: Isla Pruim and Gordon Van Eenenaam Family Scholarship or to the Kaufman Interfaith Institute, 301 Michigan St NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
