She was predeceased by: her parents, Johann DeYoung and Annie DeYoung (Wierenga); her former husband Don; and her sisters, Margaret Ann Diephouse and Edna Suchecki.
She is survived by: her husband Van Oordt Builders; her children, Andrea Karish (Marty), Steven (Amy), James and Vincent Van Oordt (Lisa); and her grandchildren, Joseph Karish, Kailin Van Oordt, Breana Karish (Luis Ramirez), Alex Van Oordt, Skylar Karish, Levi Karish and Jaspere Karish. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren; and several siblings-in-law.
