He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Scharphorn (Kooiman) and Gerrit Scharphorn; his son David; and his sister Ruth Lutz. He is survived by: his wife Gloria; his children, Paul (Bobbi) and Kim (Eric Poll); his grandchildren, Eric Scharphorn (Samantha), Jessica Glomb (Casey), Taylor Westrate (Michael), Katie and Ethan; his brother Bob Scharphorn (Shirley); and his siblings-in-law, Harold Lutz and Lois Price. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
