She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Susterich and Marian Susterich (Witherell); her husband Robert M. Buikema; her daughter Suzie Buikema; and her siblings, Joan Japenga, Fanny Maggiore and George "Roy" Susterich.
She is survived by: her sons, Richard "Rick" Buikema (Joann) of Grand Haven, Robert Buikema, Jr. (Sherri) of Laurel, MT and Raymond J. Buikema (Diane) of Nunica; and her sister Carole Blecksmith. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
