It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Effie Mae Van Tol of Grand Haven, Michigan, born in Spring Lake, Michigan, who passed away on September 7, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray VanderZwaag and Marian VanderZwaag (Vanden Bosch); her grandson Jason Paul Van Tol; and her siblings-in-law, Marlene DeWitt, Judy VanderZwaag and Donn DeYoung (Nieta).
She is survived by: her husband Paul L. Van Tol; her sons, Jeff "Jethro" Van Tol (Dianna) of Grand Haven, Jim Van Tol (Laurice) of Grand Haven and Jon Van Tol (Mitzi Montgomary) of Grand Haven; her grandchildren, Tucker Van Tol (Erin), LeiLei Van Tol and Justin Van Tol (Emily); her great grandchildren, Gertje, Windan, Guilli, Marvjane, Ilse, Braydan, Booker and Blakely Van Tol; her brother Robert VanderZwaag (Linda) of Grand Rapids; and her brother-in-law Al DeWitt. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
