He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward D. Kinkema and Marie Krueger Kinkema (Krueger Street); his son Max; his sisters, Molly Kinkema Jungslager, Ruth Kinkema Brown (Jim) and Madeline Kinkema Happel (Tom); his close friend Tom Streng; and his pet Valentine.

He is survived by: his significant other Lynne Shipman Kinkema; his children, Kathleen Kinkema (Rogene McKiernan), Karl Kinkema (Pam Bratt) and Cheryl Kinkema; his grandchildren, Damien Kinkema, Max Kinkema, Jacob David and Remi Kinkema; his great grandchildren, Aubree Kinkema and Brianna Kinkema; his brother Tom; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Shipman and Evert Jungslager. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
