He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ebel and Gertrude Ebel (Styx); his daughters, Barb and Barbara Jo DeVecht (Jeff); and his siblings, William "Bill" Ebel (Connie), Anton Ebel (Pauline) and Gertrude Garbrecht (Carl).
He is survived by: his wife Joan Barbara Briegel; his sons, Steve Ebel (Elaine) and Craig Ebel (Lucy); and his sister Betty Overkamp (Robert). He is also survived by six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
