He was predeceased by: his parents, William DeKoekkoek and Grace DeKoekkoek (Medendorp); his son Mark DeKoekkoek; his siblings, Elizabeth DeKoekkoek, Lawrence DeKoekkoek (Ann) and Robert DeKoekkoek (Mary); and his brother-in-law Tom Van Dyke.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann; his daughter-in-law Kristin DeKoekkoek of Kingwood, TX; and his siblings, Judy Van Dyke, Grace Schut (Norm), Linda Dirkse (Bob), Vickie Secrist (Bob), Joseph DeKoekkoek (Eleanor), George DeKoekkoek (Joanne), Charles DeKoekkoek (Diane) and Roger DeKoekkoek (Barb). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
