She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Balgooyen and Emma Balgooyen (Meschke); her husband Herbert E. Boelens; her sister Phyllis; and her brother-in-law Edward Bushouse.
She is survived by: her sons, David "Herb" Boelens (Jodie) of Byron Center, MI and Mark Boelens of Grand Haven, MI; her granddaughters, Jennifer Standfest (Josh) of Elk Rapids, MI and Pamela Diekevers (Justin) of Dorr, MI; and her great grandchildren, Morgan, Kendall, Tyler, Quinn, Aaron, Ellie and Zach.
