He was predeceased by: his parents, William Rice and Elinor Rice (Sjoerdsma). He is survived by: his wife Kathy Frietchen; his daughter Sara Pokorski (Tim); his grandchildren, Carter and Taylor; his daughter Carissa Hilton (Scott); his grandchildren, Emily, Angelina and Cheyenne; his daughter Heather Draper (Ben); his grandchildren, Liam, Kealyn, Brennen and Izaiah; his son Dan Rice (Shannon Carington); his grandchildren, Elinor, Ana, Zach and Ian Rice; his siblings, Linda Riepma (John), Alison Kossuth (Kurt) and Scott Rice (Kristi); and his sisters-in-law, Gigi Green (Tony) and Bonnie Swiftney (Bryan). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Lake Forest Cemetery (1304 Lake Ave, Grand Haven, MI 49417).
