He was predeceased by: his father Cornelius Louis; his wife Nancy Jean Smith; and his brothers, Ray, Bob and Ralph Louis.

He is survived by: his daughter Dawn Hornak (Jim) of Grand Haven; his granddaughters, Mackenzie, Madison and Mariah Hornak; his sister Linda Chapman (Ben); and his siblings-in-law, Mary Kay Olson and Albert Smith.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Trinity Reformed Church Food Pantry.
