It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Bekins of Grand Haven, Michigan, born in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan, who passed away on March 4, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Purcell and Ruth Purcell (Start); her husband Harvey Bekins; and her brothers, Robert, Roger and Rick Purcell (Sandy).
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Alman, Cindy Kleinheksel, Karen Sterenberg (Mike), Kelley Reenders (Dave) and Scott Bekins (Tracy); her siblings, Ronald Purcell (Beverly), Randy Purcell and Bonnie Bramer; her brother-in-law Howard Bekins (Pat); and her close friends, Roger, Edith Rycenga, Barbara and Harvey. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
