Arlene left this world on February 17, 2025 at the age of 87, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Raterink and Alice Raterink (Roels); and her grandson Mitchell Berkenpas, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Harold Assink; her children, Warren Jay Assink (Stella), Beverly Ann Assink and Mary Berkenpas (Mitch); her grandchildren, Joyce, Joshua Assink, Jacob, Sarah and Rachel Berkenpas; her sister Gloria Fritz (John); and her siblings-in-law, Leon Assink (Joann), Roger Assink (Anne), Bernice Palma (Larry) and Melvin Assink (Bev). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Second Christian Reformed Church (2021 Sheldon Rd, Grand Haven, MI 49417). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
