It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Nixon Monroe of Grand Blanc, Michigan, who passed away on January 8, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Monroe and Margaret Monroe (Nixon); his wife Jackie; and his brother Evan Monroe. He is survived by: his children, Wendall Saxton (Teri), Marilyn Cameron (Jack), Peggy Hodgeson (Rick), Jim Monroe (Pam), Steve Monroe (Cathy) and Julie Rhoades (Pat). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 9:00 AM. A rosary was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Swartz Funeral Home (1225 W Hill Rd, Flint, MI 48507). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Family Church (11804 S Saginaw St, Grand Blanc, MI 48439).
Contributions may be made to Medical Team Hospice or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
