He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert John and Bessie Young (Rowe); his wife Joyce; his siblings, Dallas Young and Muriel Young; and his son-in-law Dwight Macock.

He is survived by: his daughters, Deborah Macock, Karen Smith (Robert) and Catherine King (Andrew). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
