We are sad to announce that on January 18, 2022, at the age of 64, Kay Chaney-Hicks of Gowen, Michigan, born in Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward VanDyke and Bessie VanDyke (Kasper); and her brother Glenn VanDyke. She is survived by: her husband Rick Hicks of Gowen; her daughter Annie; her son-in-law Darin Nickerson of Conklin; her stepchildren, Chase Hicks of Hollywood, Mary and John Tubergen of Grand Rapids; her grandchildren, Brett Nickerson (Megan), Mercedes Nickerson, Nichole Nickerson and Devin Nickerson; her great grandchildren, Jack, Anniemae, Gamble, Madison, Audie and Atlas; her siblings, Eileen House, Don VanDyke (Deb), Tracy VanDyke, Ed VanDyke, William VanDyke (Billy), Sarie Marvin (Rob), Berdeana Matthews (Kevin) and Monica Young; and her siblings-in-law, Catherine Hicks, John Kenny of Belding, Bonnie Hicks of Greenville, Robert Hicks of Carson City, Scott and Karen Hicks of Belding. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
