He was predeceased by: his mother Janice L. Peer; his stepfather Martin Hauff; his grandson Daniel Gleason; his sister Terri Tillen; his father-in-law Melvin Gillette; his sister-in-law Sarah; and his niece Zoey Padgett.
He is survived by: his father Jerry M. Burns; his wife Kim; his children, Anna Bolthouse (Jamie), Alicia Gleason (Mark) and Jayson Burns (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Gabrielle Chaney (Tyler), Kendra Hayne (Nathan), Katelin Mansel, Michael Mansel, Samantha Nowakowski (Adam), Jessica Gleason, Robert Tompkins, Jacob Gildner, Charly Burns, Tori Burns and Peyton Burns; his great grandchildren, Adalynn, Brayden, August and Sebby; his siblings, Deborah Harold (Dennis), Greg Hauff and Kimberly Hauff; his parents-in-law, Rose and John Paepke; and his siblings-in-law, Gary Gillette (Stephanie), John Paepke Jr., Gale Paepke (Kimberly), David Paepke (Kasha), Roxanne Carroll (Wayne), Chris Scott (John) and Kandi Paepke. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hurst Funeral Home (1801 W Washington St, Greenville, MI 48838). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
