With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Hugh McNeil of Gould City, Michigan, born in Escanaba, Michigan, who passed away on April 23, 2023 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Emma Jane McNeil (Sly) and Harry McNeil; his wife Rachel McNeil; and his children, David McNeil, Bonnie Lehman and Velvet Wing.
He is survived by: his children, Edward James McNeil of Manistique, MI, Josie Swagart (Guy) of Cooks, MI, Evie Frisch (John) of Gould City, MI and Charley Bingham (Robert) of Manistique, MI; his children-in-law, Dan Wing of Wyoming, MN and Ann McNeil; and his grandchildren, Rick, John, Jennifer, Jason, Amanda, Rob, Ryan, Brandon, Mike, Sam and Evie. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
