He is survived by: his wife Arlene Mertz; his children, Pamela Fitzgerald (Michael), Terry Mertz (Debbie) and Larry Mertz (Denise); his grandchildren, Patrick Fitzgerald (Lora), Kathleen Fitzgerald, Maureen Fitzgerald and Carl Mertz (Jennifer); and his great grandchildren, Connor and Hannah Fitzgerald.
