He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis VanHeukelum and Josie VanHeukelum; and his siblings, Melvin VanHeukelum (Margaret), Bea Havermen (Julius) and Gary VanHeukelum.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca VanHeukelum (Becky) of Gobles; his children, Heidi Howard of Gobles, Kammy VanHeukelum of Indiana, Kerri Calkin (Mark) of North Carolina, Marc VanHeukelum (Michelle) of Gobles and Abbie Jones-VanHeukelum (Nick) of Kalamazoo; his grandchildren, Curtis Barber, Danielle Hinson (Daniel), Keili Scott (Kyle), Justin Peters (Taylor), Marc Jr. VanHeukelum (Morgan) and Ashley Boyer (Jason); and his great grandchildren, Haleigh, Ellie, Gage, Grayson, Sawyer, Sullen and Weston. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Hearing Research Foundation or St. Jude's Research Hospital.
