Timothy Bernard Foor Obituary
Timothy Bernard Foor (66) passed away in the presence of family and went on to be with the Lord on December 20, 2024 in Ann Arbor, MI. Tim was born on Feb. 12, 1958 in Gladwin, MI. Tim met his beloved wife of over 40 years, Janet Foor, in Gladwin, and it was there that they raised three children Tyler, Emily, and Mitchell on a farm on the corner of Nickless and Ridge.
It was on that farm that Tim honored God by leading his family in love and admonition of the Lord. As a member of Grace Baptist Church, God was of first importance and family was his main priority. As a father and devoted husband, Tim was always there for his family, especially during special or difficult times. Whether taking care of the cows, cooking homemade meals, or participating in the life of the community, Tim cherished every moment with his wife and kids and was especially proud of them.
With great excitement, Tim and Janet eventually became happy grandparents and devoted much of their time to watching, caring for, and spending time with their seven beloved grandchildren. Together they loved camping, fishing, riding bikes, traveling, and just spending time on the farm.
As a proud member of the Gladwin community, Tim devoted much of his life to helping others. As a plumber, Tim never hesitated to do work for little to no pay, especially for those he knew needed help the most. As a football coach, he invested everything he had into helping young people become adults and learn the importance of hard work, discipline, family, and faith. He taught by example in everything he did, believing that actions speak louder than words and that people not only need to hear the Gospel but see it for themselves in acts of service, truly embodying Micah 6:8 which reads, "He hath showed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?".
Tim is survived by his beloved wife Janet, their children Tyler (Katy) Foor, Emily (Corry) Cummings, Mitchell (Karlin) Foor, grandchildren Ellie and Tate Foor, Ariana, Abigail and Hudson Cummings and Micah and soon to arrive Levi Foor. Also surviving are his parents Bernie and Roszella Foor, his sister Julie (Sam) Wilson, his mother-in-law RoseAnn Barber and many other brothers and sisters-in-law as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Viewing is scheduled for Thursday, December 26 from 4 pm to 8 pm at The Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home in Gladwin. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 27 at 10 am at Grace Christian Church with Pastor Troy Sheppard presiding. Following the service, burial will be held at Ridge Cemetery with lunch shortly afterwards at Grace Christian Church. In honor of Tim Foor, consider making a donation to Samaritan's Purse or the Gladwin Football Program.
