He was predeceased by: his parents, Lauritz Syversen and Avilda Syversen (Nielsen); and his siblings, Harry Syversen (Ardis) of St. Claire Shores, Arne Syverson (Charlotte) of Livionia and Erma Baker (Don) of Clearwater.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Wilson O'Connor; his children, Eric Steven Syversen of Commerce Township, MI and Laurie McGovern of Milford, DE; his grandchildren, Amber Fouty (Scott), Trevor McGovern, Amelia Syversen and Alec Syversen; and his great grandchildren, Oliver Fouty and Liam Fouty. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
