It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Ellis of Gladwin, Michigan, who passed away on January 12, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Ellis and Aime Ellis (Lathrop); his wife Joyce Black; his sons, John and Jason Maher; and his brother Roger Ellis.
He is survived by: his children, Rick Ireland and Shelly King; his grandchildren, Levon, Caitlin, Rachelle, Michiel, Brody, Bailey and Bo; his great grandchildren, Sophie, Becca, River and Mary; his siblings, Joseph Ellis and Mary Linda Ellis of Washington; and his daughters-in-law, Nicole Maher and Melanie Whitman.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home (440 E Cedar Ave, Gladwin, MI 48624).
