He was predeceased by: his son Phillip Mercer. He is survived by: his parents, Roger Mercer and Connie Mercer (Cox); his wife Melinda Mercer; his stepsons, Tom VanPelt (Amber), Brad VanPelt (Tina) and Michael Dolney (Christina); his grandchildren, Dylan, Destiny, Dominic, Cody, Isabella, Ethan, Jenna, Tanner and Henry; and his siblings, Troy Mercer (Misty) and Robyn Thume (David). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
