It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John S. Shaffer (Gladwin, Michigan), who passed away on April 28, 2018, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Shaffer and Mamie Shaffer (Finnegan); and his wife Dolores. He is survived by: his children, Jack Shaffer (Carol) of Edenville, Robert Shaffer (Debi) of Midland, Steve Shaffer (Melody) of Burton and Ann Myers (Gary) of Gladwin. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
