John E. Gilman Sr., aged 68, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Gladwin, MI, on March 17, 2025. Born on September 19, 1956, in Gladwin to the late Arthur and Edna (Case) Gilman, John's life was a testament to the values of family, hard work, and the simple joys that make a life well-lived.
John's journey through life was shared with his lifelong companion, Carron Falconberry, who together with their children and grandchildren, formed the core of his world. His family, including his sons John Jr (Tiffany) Gilman and Mike (Dawn) Maloney, and his cherished grandchildren Dominic, Aidan, Gavin, Jack, Max, Richard, Shania, and Miranda, brought him immeasurable happiness. He was a brother to Jim (Helen) Gilman and Bill (Sherry) Gilman and many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his brothers Robert and Vern, whose memories he held close to his heart.
After a fulfilling career, John retired from Mane Loc Cleaning Services, where he was known for his reliability and attention to detail. His work ethic and involvement in his community set an example for all who knew him. John's professional life was marked by the same dedication and care that he brought to every aspect of his life.
