Delphine M. (Wazny) Truckle Obituary
Delphine Truckle, age 93, of Gladwin, Michigan, arrived at her heavenly home on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, and was greeted by her Heavenly Father and her loving husband, Loyd Robert Truckle. Delphine was born on March 31, 1931, to the late Michael & Florence Wazny.
Delphine and Loyd were married June 17, 1949, and celebrated 55 years of marriage before his passing on May 20, 2005. Spending most of their lives together farming and camping in the U.P. Together they raised 5 children, Janice (Larry) Wehner, Bernice (Terry) Eckley, Robert (Kelly) Truckle, Gail (Eldon) Will, Karen (late beloved Charles) Plank. Delphine also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, and nephews, brothers Jerry and Kenneth Wazny, sister Shirley Knowlton, dear friends, Inez Kaleto, Lee & Lynette Steinkraus.
She was preceded in death by her siblings; Louise (Bob) Pohlman, Clarence (Marcia) Wazny, brother in love Martin Knowlton, sister in love Rita Wazny.
Delphine blessed many people with her homemade crafts, crocheting from tablecloths, baby blankets, denim jean quilts, sewing and mending clothes, a lady of many talents. She was also known for her famous molasses cookies.
Delphine was a long-standing member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and the original Skeels Baptist Church. She served her Lord faithfully as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, loyal prayer warrior to countless friends and family. She will be greatly missed by all who she encountered.
Mom was a prime example of a virtuous woman of faith. Prov. 31: 10-31.
A huge thank you to her church members, Gladwin Rehab and nursing home. Also, to Heartland Hospice and to those who gave of their time to go visit mom.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 23, 2025, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Lee-Ramsay Gladwin Chapel.
A private memorial will be held in the summer at Butman Township Cemetery.
