He was predeceased by: his father John Henry Mercer; his son Brent Mercer; and his stepfather James Mason. He is survived by: his daughter Jen Byrne (Jon); his mother Helen Mason; his grandchildren, Hunter Mercer, Cassidy Mercer, Kember Rolls (Jacob) and Kameron Peter; his great grandchildren, Leo, Levi and Kade; his brothers, Tedd Mercer, Tom Mercer, Eric Mercer, David Mercer and James Mason; and his daughter-in-law Mindy Mercer.
