He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Sr. Merrill and Inez Merrill (Howard); and his brother Vaughn. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Largent; his children, Jennifer, Catie McCormick and Dan III; his grandchildren, Braelynn, Cayden, Maelynn and Jaxon; and his brother Mike (Sue).
