He was predeceased by: his parents, James Gillespie and Ruth Gillespie (Yonker). He is survived by: his wife Shirley Gillespie of Gladwin; his children, Dan Gillespie (Kathy) of Bay City, Tammy Long (Randy) of Gladwin, Judy Becker (Ronald) of Bay City and Janet Gillespie of Bay City; and his siblings, Gloria Misiak, Charlotte Wanless, James Gillespie, John Gillespie, Paul Gillespie, Raymond Gillespie and Robert Gillespie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
