He was predeceased by: his parents, Smith Samson and Irma Samson (Proehl); and his sister Lois. He is survived by: his children, John Samson (Julia), David Samson (Kristen) and Christina Zakowski (T. J.) of Lexington, KY; his grandchildren, Thomas, Grace and Charlie Zakowski; and his siblings, Dolores Samson of Rapid River and Dan Samson of Escanaba. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nephews, and one niece.
