He was predeceased by: his grandchild Michael; and his parents, Edwin Gibbons and Bethel Gibbons. He is survived by: his wife Connie; his sons, Jason Gibbons (Elizabeth) and Tom Gibbons (Amanda); his grandchildren, Erik, Shawn, Morgan, Thomas, Ava, Ryan, Zachary and Jared; his siblings, Robert Gibbons, Pat Gibbons, Michael Gibbons and Sandra Gibbons; and his friends, Lenny Anderson, Bill Anderson and Tim Anderson.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Disabled American Veterans organization.
