He was predeceased by: his parents, James Seger and Beatrice Seger (Vanderlinden). He is survived by: his children, Paul Seger and Elzaddie Seger; his siblings, Jeff Seger (Carol), Gordon Seger, Tina Tosten and Sue Kelly (Jay); his stepmother Betty Lou Seger; and his uncle Dwight Seger (Alena LaLonde).
