It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Salmi (Gladstone, Michigan), born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on March 27, 2020, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Waino Salmi and Ida Salmi (Renfors); his parents-in-law, Hjalmar and Edna Nelson; his sister Sylvia Aho; and his brothers-in-law, Toivo Aho and Mark Nelson.

He is survived by: his former wife Constance Nelson; his wife Connie Salmi (Nelson) of Gladstone; his children, Regina Salmi of Grand Rapids, MI, Kristine Snowdeal (Eric) of Viroqua, WI, Steve Salmi (Sarah) of Hamilton, MI and Scot Salmi (Jolene) of Marne, MI; his stepdaughters, Cheryl Dykes (Bruce) of Gladstone and Sherri Makowski (Don) of Gladstone; his grandchildren, Ruby, Evelyn, Odin, Jagger, Ella and Mitchel; his stepgrandchildren, Kali, Bryce and Nicole (Jason); his great grandchild Genevieve Makowski; his brother Allen Salmi (Dolly) of Rapid River; and the mother of his children Pam Wood. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
