It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard L. Nelson of Gladstone, Michigan, who passed away on December 9, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Muriel Nelson and Oscar Nelson; his son Terry LeDoux Nelson; and his grandson Jared Blake Walksnice. He is survived by: his close friend Starr Ferris; his son Edward Walksnice (Karen) of Escanaba; his daughter-in-law Betty Nelson of California; his sister Sandra Wandahsega (Jim) of Hannahville; his nephew Rob Derouin of Hyde; and his great-niece Madisen Derouin of Hyde. He is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Because of COVID we will be having a private viewing with only immediate family at the Crawford Funeral Home in Escanaba.
