He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles De and Ingaborg Van De (Bloomquist); and his former wife Jaqueline Taylor of Laurium. He is survived by: his spouse Kay Falk (Goodwin) of Appleton; his children, Kristine Schutte (Kirk) of Madison, Janis Strange (Thomas) of Vermont, Charles Van De (Debra), Richard Van De (Pauline), Nancy Van De Weghe of Madison and Thomas Van De (Monique); and his stepsons, Eric Falk (Keiko) of Machida, Japan, Kurt Falk (Jodi) of Green Bay and Brian Falk of Minneapolis. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established with donations going to foreign missions of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod.
