He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Hammond and Ruth Hammond (Snyder); his granddaughter Sarah Lynn Hammond; and his nephew Phillip Martin. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his sons, Brian Hammond (Dawn) of Gladstone and MIchael Hammond (Shanna) of Gladstone; his grandchildren, Penelope (PS) of Gladstone, Keaton of Gladstone and Roseanne of Gladstone; his siblings, Michael Hammond (Geri) of Ypsilanti and Diane Shimabukuro (George) of California; and his brother-in-law David Martin of Daggett.

Memorial contributions in Paul's name may be directed to First Lutheran Church or to UP Health Systems Hospice.
