It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leonard Thorsen (Gladstone, Michigan), born in Escanaba, Michigan, who passed away on January 3, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Semer Thorsen and Elsie Thorsen (Kull); his siblings, Victor, Lester, Marvin, Clifford, Ronald, Raymond, Wallace, William Semer, Frances Johnson, Alice Pearson, Marian Lindahl and Betty Bolm; and his grandchildren, Christopher Karau (CJ) and Melissa Karau Schmidt.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Thorsen of Rapid River; his children, Pastor Bruce Thorsen (John Williams) of Quakertown, PA and Susan Karau (Richard) of Milwaukee, WI; his grandson Michael Karau of Moorhead, MN; his sisters, Carol Hall (Bill) of Glenside, PA, Shirley Heckel of Gladstone and Esther Niverth (Joe) of Stonington; and his sisters-in-law, MaryAnn Thorsen of Escanaba and Rosie Thorsen of Stonington. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
