We are sad to announce that on June 17, 2023, at the age of 82, Joy A. Liebel of Gladstone, Michigan, born in Escanaba, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur H. Petersen and Rose V. Petersen (Raspor); and her grandson Johnny Cordillo III. She is survived by: her husband Richard Liebel of Gladstone; her children, Ann Carlson (Thomas) of Gladstone, Mike Liebel (Sonya) of Houston, TX and Jill Hintsala (Larry) of Wilmington, NC; her grandchildren, Justin Malmstead, Brendan Malmstead, Cole Carlson, Quinn Carlson, Sophie Carlson, Sarah Carlson, Sonya Carlson and Owen Carlson; her sisters, Karen Else (John) and Judy Von Sydow (Brad); her great-grandparent Jill; her brother Craig Petersen; and her pet Monique. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
