He was predeceased by: his parents, George J. Herro and Nellie Herro; his former wife Nancy LaSalle Herro; his sisters, Audrey Derouin and Saralee Moyle; and his brothers-in-law, Tom Willis and Clifford Derouin.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ott (Troyer); his children, Joseph H. Herro (Roberta) of Garden, George J. Herro (Shannon) of Garden, Kathleen S. Dekeyser (James) of Wheaton, IL, Melissa A. Hunt of Santa Barbara, CA and Sharon M. Herro of Escanaba; his sister Sharon Boyle (Dan); his brother-in-law David Moyle of Gladstone; and his stepson Jon LaSalle (Jeannie) of Marquette. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
