She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph C. Neuens and Emma M. Neuens (Slater); her husband Henry C. Hughes; her sons, Patrick H. Hughes and Ronald M. Hughes; her great grandchild Elmer J. Juedes; and her sisters, Elvira Carlson, Dawn LaPalm and Barbara Neuens.
She is survived by: her children, Rosalie J. Hughes, Barbara Ann Hughes of Gladstone, MI, Raymond F. Hughes (Barbara J.) of Gladstone, MI, Joseph A. Hughes of Munising, MI, Ileen M. Meyers (Greg) of Bark River, MI, Connie T. Smith (Allen) of Navarre, FL, Larry C. Hughes (Karen) of Gladstone, MI and Mary H. Hughes of Bozeman, MT; her daughter-in-law Donna Hughes of Kenora, Ontario; and her siblings, Kenneth Neuens (Clara), Dennis Neuens (Judy), Therese Guenette (Earl), Janet Neuens and Thomas Neuens (Terri). She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be directed to the family and a memorial will be established at a later date.
